Is Flexo Printing better than a digital print (inkjet or laser) on labels?
I own a short run digital label/sticker printing business called Twisted Sticker.
I use a digital printer/cutter (Not thermal transfer) for all my label designs and think it's great.
The quality/resolution is amazing in my opinion and the flexibility of what you can print is far superior.
Personally, I have been in the bar code/label industry for 15+ years and most of the label printing I was involved with was Flexo.
Flexo has it's place for large runs but because I focus on short runs, I can offer something unique to my customers that is much more cost effective.
There are no artwork, film, plate or die charges. There are no charges for colour changes. I'm not limited by how many ink stations are available on a press. I can print full colour. I can print photos. I can print shades & gradients. I can print & cut contours. The possibilities are endless.
But, it really depends on what you were referring to when you ask if Flexo is better. (This is just my two cents and how I interpreted your question.)
